St Kilda v Melbourne - RFMatchPreview - realfooty.com.auhttp://www.realfooty.com.au/news/matchreport/St-Kilda-v-Melbourne/2009/04/16/1243456676094.html
After a barn-storming start to the season, top-placed St Kilda have shown a few signs of vulnerability against Essendon and Brisbane in recent weeks. Bottom-placed Melbourne, meanwhile, have been competitive against West Coast, the Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn in the past three rounds without quite being able to snare a second win for the season. So this might not be the completely one-sided affair the ladder gulf between the sides indicates. All the same, the Saints do look to have too much class all over the ground for the Demons to be rated a realistic chance of winning. Star forwards Nick Riewoldt, Justin Koschitzke and Stephen Milne are playing well, the Saints' midfield is loaded with talent - Lenny Hayes, Luke Ball and Leigh Montagna playing consistently well - and the defence has been the meanest of any in the AFL. |
